This upgrade requires code to be downloaded to the controller PCA and the drives. BEFORE starting this upgrade, obtain the following:
* The downloadable code required for this upgrade. FTP this code
from hpgrsg. gr. hp. com (15. 38. 89. 10) using an "anonymous" login. [. . . ] Disconnect the SCSI interface from the host.

Installing the 1-Drive Upgrade
Caution Wear a grounding strap when working inside the outer shell of this jukebox. Remove the jukebox cover by removing the four T-25 screws on that hold the cover to the rear panel. Pull the cover back and away from the chassis.

3. Remove the 8 T-15 screws on the top, bottom and sides of the access panel. Remove the access panel

Figure 2: Removing the access panel 4. Pull the picker up to the top of the chassis and insert a T-25 screw in the service hole, which holds the picker at the top of the chassis (Figure 3).

5. Remove the 3 cartridge "stop" screws (T-15).

Accessing Components in the Front Bezel
6. Remove the two T-25 screws that secure the front bezel to the chassis. These screws are located behind the bezel as shown in Figure 5.

7. Rotate the front bezel out and disconnect the front panel cable and the mailslot sensor cable. NOTE A tab on the top of the mailslot sensor cable must be released before the cable can be unhooked. Insert a small screwdriver and push this tab down (see inset in Figure 6).

[. . . ] Select the appropriate label -- Use the C1115 label when upgrading a C1100 (single-ended interface) jukebox. Use a C1116 label when upgrading a C1101 (differential interface) jukebox.
